What happened with Jill Scott………….

Cartoons - geniusstill waiting………………………….I just dont know!!

But on the plus side I had a nice evening yesterday and went to a lovely pub, with friends, there was a fire and nice pub grub and good company too.  I have never been too much into pubs but I can see myself spending more lazy afternoons chilling and chatting…….

Also ..what is up with Jill Scotts new album?? I dont like it at all!! Maybe I am being unfair - Jill Scott was kinda ruined for me due to recent events and since then i can barely listen to her music let alone listen to her music objectively.

Anyway i have decided to go to at  least 1 open mic/spoken word event this monthmy creative side has re-surfaced and i need to go out and mix with like minded peeps and get the old creative juices flowing.

Something is rotten in the state of…………..Zimbabwe

 Enough Already!!!!!

BBC, SKY, REUTERS  and all those news websites out there – ENOUGH OF PLAYING WITH MY EMOTIONS.

I had a little scare when the beeb reported that Tsvangirai had been declared President – then after running out of the office and ringing nearly everyone…. I came back and the banner now said according to MDC Tsvangirai has won.

Yikes! This is doing my head in!!!!

I got this joke on my mobile which I found quite funny:

ZANU PF would like to apologize for the late release of results.  This is due to our rigging machine  not working. Engineers are currently working on the problem.

Nervous Conditions

The counting has begun and I cannot seem to shake of this distinct feeling of malaise!!  I am hoping for a change but I just don’t think BOB will let go so easily .  Everyone I know is nervous what now? What happens next? What if? When?

I spoke to a few people this weekend who are just waiting ..and depending on the results, are poised to return to zim in their droves.

I guess as the song goes “all we can do is sit and wait”

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

The elections are once more upon us and I am not quite sure what to make of all the madness! On one hand there is a small voice inside of me whispering that this could be the year when change finally comes to zim.  On the other hand I am not so hopeful because if the people I have been speaking to are to be believed practically everyone is expecting the elections to be rigged (as usual) big time!!

I think that Simba Makoni also throwing his hat in the ring has made it easier or Bob and co to rig the elections as they can apportion small numbers of votes between the two opposition candidates and give himself the majority vote – which would be an easy way for him to claim that the votes were “free and fair” and the people voted.

My biggest fear is that Zimbabwe will erupt in some Kenya style violence.  I am also afraid for the people of zim generally right now they are suffering so much – largely in silence.  How much more can  people take? And what will happen when they cannot take it anymore.  Historically we are not a blood thirsty or violent people but everyone has their limits right?

This whole thing make me think an old headmaster Mr Graham at chisi – who used to like the saying by Edmund Burke :- All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

I hope that people will talk with their feet and go and vote
